LAMINAAR gets IATA license to be XML data integrator for IOSA

June 1, 2021 - Singapore

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has granted LAMINAAR Aviation Infotech the license to use extensible mark-up language or XML, for data involving IATA Operations Safety Audit (IOSA) manuals.

LAMINAAR is now one of only seven providers of audit software and applications in the world that IATA has approved, to use and offer the IOSA XML format in audit software and applications for the benefit of its customers.

IOSA, which has been adopted by airlines globally, is an internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline in the interests of safety.

IATA introduced the IOSA Standards Manual (ISM) in an XML format for the benefit of the IOSA community to improve efficiency and accuracy in maintaining IOSA checklists.

All IOSA-related documents are proprietary to IATA and no part of IOSA specific documentation is permitted to be reproduced, recast, reformatted, incorporated, distributed or otherwise used for any other purpose by any party, without the prior and explicit consent of IATA.

“Permission to use the IOSA Standards Manual XML file is only authorized by IATA after executing an appropriate license agreement with them,” says LAMINAAR managing director and CEO, Vivek Sheorey. He added, “LAMINAAR’s proprietary aviation safety management system, ARMS® SQMS is now an IATA approved IOSA (ISM), ISAGO (GOSM), IATA Health; Safety Checklist (IHSC), XML Standards Integrator.”
